Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Amia AI (the "App") collects, uses and shares information. The App is provided by Karen Walker, an individual developer ("we", "us"). Questions: orlanjun33@gmail.com.
1. No account, no password
The App does not ask for your email, phone number or real name to sign in. On first launch it creates a random device identifier, stores it in the iOS Keychain and uses it to sign you in as a guest. Your gems, limits and purchases are tied to this identifier.
2. Information we collect
- Profile and onboarding answers: the name you choose to be called, your age, gender, and your preferences such as goals, topics and interests.
- Chat content: the messages you send and the replies and images you receive.
- Device and usage data: device identifier, language, time zone, app version, gems balance, free-message count, Premium status and purchase history.
- Attribution data: an install identifier from our attribution provider (AppsFlyer) that tells us which ad, if any, led to the install.
- Purchases: all payments are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of the purchase, never your card or billing details.
3. How we use information
- to run the App: generate replies and images, keep your balance, limits and Premium status;
- to personalise the assistant and answers to your preferences;
- to prevent abuse, fraud and prohibited content;
- to measure which ads lead to installs and to improve the App;
- to answer support requests and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use your chats to show you third-party ads.
4. AI processing
To generate a reply or an image, your message and the recent conversation are sent to our servers and to the AI model providers we use. These providers process the data on our behalf to produce the response and screen it for prohibited content. Replies are created automatically and are not written by a person.
5. Who we share information with
- hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers;
- AI model providers that generate replies and images;
- Apple, for payments and subscriptions;
- AppsFlyer, for install attribution;
- authorities, when the law requires it or to protect users and others from harm.
6. Where information is stored
Your chat history and downloaded images are kept on your device. Data needed to run the service (profile, preferences, balance, purchases) is kept on our servers. Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data while you use the App. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and preferences from our servers, except records we must keep by law (for example, purchase records). Deleting the App removes chat history stored on the device.
8. Deleting your data
Open Profile → Delete account in the App. This deletes your account on our servers and clears your local data. You can also email us from the address above. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Email us to use these rights; we answer within 30 days. EU and UK users may also complain to their local data protection authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
10. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU and UK). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that such a child has used the App, we delete the account.
11. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and the sign-in identifier is stored in the iOS Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App.
